Happy New Year to All!
The Board of Trustees of the Philippine Stock Exchange Foundation, Inc. during its meeting held on December 18, 2012, decided to reiterate its invitation to all trading participants to register as members of the Foundation. To date only 58 trading participants out of 184 of them are registered members. Please note that the Board of Trustees in its meeting held on June 2, 2011 reiterated the present policy limiting Foundation membership to directors, officers and stockholders of trading participants. It also confirmed the present practice of allowing only one (1) representative from each trading participant.
Please recall that the Foundation was established in 1995 as the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of the then mutualized Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. Accordingly, all member-brokers (now called trading participants) were automatically made members of the Foundation.
