The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas has authorized the change of corporate name of Rural Bank of Balingasag (Misamis Oriental), Inc. to "BINHI Rural Bank, Inc. (Formerly: Rural Bank of Balingasag (Misamis Oriental), Inc.)" on 18 May 2016. The Bank registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) its Amended Articles of Incorporation and Amended By-Laws bearing its new corporate name and the SEC issued the pertinent certification thereon on 13 October 2016.
