AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 585 RECONSTITUTING THE BOARD OF CENSORS FOR MOTION PICTURES, WHICH HAS BEEN RENAMED BOARD OF REVIEW FOR MOTION PICTURES AND TELEVISION
By virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution and pursuant to the authority vested in me by Presidential Decree No. 1416, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby amend Section 1 of Executive Order No. 585, entitled "Reconstituting the Board of Censors for Motion Pictures," to read as follows:
Sec. 1. The Board of Censors for Motion Pictures is hereby reconstituted to be composed of one (1) chairman, four (4) vice-chairmen and thirty-two (32) members who shall be appointed by the President of the Philippines.
The Chairman shall serve for a term of four (4) years. The Vice-Chairman and the members first appointed shall hold office as follows: One (1) Vice-Chairman and eight (8) members for one (1) year; one (1) Vice-Chairman and eight (8) members for two (2) years; one (1)...

Reconstituting the Board of Censors for Motion Pictures and Renaming it to Board of Review for Motion Pictures and Television
- Composition of the Board (Section 1):
• One (1) Chairman appointed for a term of 4 years.
• Four (4) Vice-Chairmen and thirty-two (32) members appointed by the President of the Philippines.
• Initial appointments have staggered terms of 1, 2, 3, and 4 years for Vice-Chairmen and members.
• Subsequent appointments shall be for a term of 4 years.
• Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term of the replaced member.
- Qualifications for Appointment (Section 1):
• Filipino citizen.
• At least 30 years of age.
• Of good moral standing in the community.
• Not directly connected with the motion picture or television industries.
• Consideration shall be made to bring in a multisectoral field of expertise on various aspects of motion picture review.
- Compensation (Section 1):
• The Chairman, Vice-Chairmen, and members shall be entitled to honoraria, transportation, and allowances determined by the Board and approved by the Minister of the Budget.
- Effectivity (Section 2):
• The Order shall take effect immediately.
