M a n i l aPRESIDENTIAL DECREE No. 1166
AMENDING THE 94TH ARTICLE OF THE ARTICLES OF WAR
WHEREAS, in order to effectively enforce discipline and administer justice among all members of the Armed Forces, it is necessary that certain provisions of the Articles of War be amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers in me vested by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree as part of the law of the land, the following:
Section 1. Amendment of the 94th Article of War. Article 94 of Commonwealth Act. No. 408, otherwise known as the Articles of War, as amended, is further amended by deleting therefrom the following:
"Provided, That in time of peace, officers and enlisted men of the Philippine Constabulary shall not be triable by courts-martial for any felony, crime, breach of law or violation of municipal ordinances committed under this Article."
Section 2. Effectivity. This decree shall take effect upon approval.
