AN ACT FURTHER AMENDING PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 198, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS
"THE PROVINCIAL WATER UTILITIES ACT OF 1973", AS AMENDEDBe it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1. Section 13 of Presidential Decree No. 198, as amended, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 13. Compensation. - Each director shall receive per diem to be determined by the Board, for each meeting of the Board actually attended by him, but no director shall receive per diems in any given month in excess of the equivalent of the total per diem of four meetings in any given month.
" Any per diem in excess of One hundred fifty pesos (P150.00) shall be subject to the approval of the Administration. In addition thereto, each director shall receive...

Compensation of Directors
- Each director shall receive per diem to be determined by the Board, for each meeting attended. (Section 1)
- No director shall receive per diems in any given month in excess of the equivalent of the total per diem of four meetings in any given month.
- Any per diem in excess of One hundred fifty pesos (P150.00) shall be subject to the approval of the Administration. (Section 1)
- Each director shall receive allowances and benefits as prescribed by the Board, subject to the approval of the Administration. (Section 1)
Appointment and Removal of General Manager
- The Board shall appoint a general manager by a majority vote at the first meeting or as soon as practicable. (Section 2)
- The Board shall define the duties and fix the compensation of the general manager. (Section 2)
- The general manager shall not be removed from office, except for cause and after due process. (Section 2)
Other Provisions
- If any section or provision of this Act is declared unconstitutional or invalid, the other sections or provisions not affected shall continue to be in force and effect. (Section 3)
- All acts, decrees, executive orders, rules and regulations, part or part thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly. (Section 4)
- This Act shall take effect upon its approval. (Section 5)
