Summary of Republic Act No. 10199Separation and Conversion into a National High School
- The Sorsogon National Agricultural School – Mayon Annex in Barangay Mayon, Municipality of Castilla, Province of Sorsogon is separated from the Sorsogon National Agricultural School and converted into an independent national high school called Mayon National High School. (Section 1)
Transfer of Assets and Liabilities
- All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the Sorsogon National Agricultural School – Mayon Annex are transferred to and absorbed by the Mayon National High School. (Section 2)
Appropriations
- The Secretary of Education shall immediately include the operationalization of the Mayon National High School in the Department's program, with the initial funding charged against the current year's appropriations of the Sorsogon National Agricultural School – Mayon Annex. (Section 3)
- Thereafter, the amount necessary for the continued operation of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 3)
Implementation
- The Secretary of Education shall issue rules and regulations necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act. (Section 4)
Effectivity
- This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette. (Section 5)

AN ACT SEPARATING THE SORSOGON NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL – MAYON ANNEX IN BARANGAY MAYON, MUNICIPALITY OF CASTILLA, PROVINCE OF SORSOGON FROM THE SORSOGON NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL, CONVERTING IT INTO AN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS MAYON NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
Section 1. Separation and Conversion into a National High School. – The Sorsogon National Agricultural School – Mayon Annex in Barangay Mayon, Municipality of Castilla, Province of Sorsogon is hereby separated from the Sorsogon National Agricultural School and converted into an independent national high school to be known as Mayon National High School.
