EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 263 July 25, 1987
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE OPERATIONS OF THE PHILIPPINE INFORMATION AGENCY
WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 100 created the Philippine Information Agency to provide to as wide a public as possible information regarding the policies and programs of government in a coordinated and complimentary fashion and without the influence of partisan politics;
WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 100 directed the Philippine Information Agency to cause the preparation of an operating budget in collaboration with the Ministry, now Department of Budget and Management on the details necessary to put into effect its implementation;
WHEREAS, the said budget has been prepared in accordance with the existing laws, rules and regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby order the following:
Sec. 1. The amount of Twenty Three Million Pesos (P23,000,000.00) is hereby authorized to be released from the Compensation and Organization Adjustment Fund in the current General...

Appropriating Funds for the Operations of the Philippine Information Agency
- Background:
• Executive Order No. 100 created the Philippine Information Agency to provide information about government policies and programs in a coordinated and non-partisan manner. (Whereas clause)
• Executive Order No. 100 directed the Philippine Information Agency to prepare an operating budget in collaboration with the Department of Budget and Management. (Whereas clause)
• The operating budget has been prepared in accordance with existing laws, rules, and regulations. (Whereas clause)
- Provisions:
• The amount of Twenty Three Million Pesos (P23,000,000.00) is authorized to be released from the Compensation and Organization Adjustment Fund in the current General Appropriations Act for the operations of the Philippine Information Agency, in accordance with the provisions of Executive Order No. 100. (Section 1)
• This Executive Order shall take effect immediately. (Section 2)
