EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 780 January 1, 1982
AUTHORIZING INCREASES IN SALARY TO SOLICITORS AND
LAWYERS IN THE OFFICE OF THE SOLICITOR GENERALWHEREAS, P.D. No. 1726 provides for a new schedule of salaries for lawyers in the Ministry of Justice and its bureau and offices; and
WHEREAS, position in the Office of the Solicitor General did not come under the operation of said Decree; and
WHEREAS, there is a close relationship between the qualification requirements for Fiscals, State Prosecutors, State Counsels in the Ministry of Justice and Solicitors in the Office of the Solicitor General; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to align the salaries of Solicitors and lawyers in the Office of the Solicitor General with lawyers in the Ministry of Justice in the light of new salary rates under P.D. No. 1726;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order and direct:

Salary Increases for Solicitors and Lawyers in the Office of the Solicitor General
- Aligns the salaries of Solicitors and lawyers in the Office of the Solicitor General with lawyers in the Ministry of Justice, in light of the new salary rates under P.D. No. 1726. (Section 1)
- Provides the following salary rates:
• 10 Assistant Solicitor General positions at P55,536 salary rate (Section 1)
• 10 Solicitor VI positions at P52,848 salary rate (Section 1)
• 10 Solicitor V positions at P50,292 salary rate (Section 1)
• 10 Solicitor IV positions at P47,856 salary rate (Section 1)
• 10 Solicitor III positions at P43,332 salary rate (Section 1)
• 10 Solicitor II positions at P41,232 salary rate (Section 1)
• 10 Solicitor I positions at P37,344 salary rate (Section 1)
• 7 Trial Attorney positions at P32,184 salary rate (Section 1)
• 7 Trial Attorney positions at P30,624 salary rate (Section 1)
• 6 Trial Attorney positions at P29,148 salary rate (Section 1)
- Funds needed for implementation shall be drawn from salary lapses, savings of the Office of the Solicitor General, Salary Adjustment Fund in the CY 1981 General Appropriations Act, and budgetary reserves. (Section 2)
- Funds for succeeding fiscal years shall be incorporated in the annual appropriations of the Office of the Solicitor General. (Section 2)
- The Ministry of the Budget shall formulate and issue the necessary rules and regulations. (Section 3)
- The Order took effect on January 1, 1982. (Section 4)
