EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 330 July 12, 1988

CALLING THE CORDILLERA REGIONAL ASSEMBLY TO A SPECIAL SESSION CLARIFYING ITS RESPONSIBILITY PROVIDING FUNDS FOR ITS 1988 OPERATIONS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

WHEREAS, the President has appointed a sufficiently large proportion of the members of the Cordillera Regional Assembly to enable it to be convened and conduct its business, and this is also the desire of its members.

WHEREAS, to enable the Cordillera Regional Assembly to conduct its business it is necessary to clarify its duties and responsibilities, in the light of the size and nature of its membership, the brief time alloted for its regular session, and the fact that it possesses an implementing arm, the Cordillera Executive Board, which is in continuous operations;

WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide resources for the 1988 operations of the Cordillera Regional Assembly out of the funds appropriated by Congress for the whole Cordillera Administrative Region which are now in the custody of its implementing arm;

Summary of Executive Order No. 330

Convening a Special Session of the Cordillera Regional Assembly
- A special session of the Cordillera Regional Assembly is called on July 14, 1988 in Baguio City. (Section 1)
- Undersecretary Ramon K. Katigbak of the Department of Finance is authorized to convene and preside over the special session until a presiding officer is selected. (Section 2)

Roles and Responsibilities
- The Cordillera Regional Assembly shall be assisted by the Cordillera Executive Board in: (Section 3)
    - Preparing necessary studies and recommendations for policy consideration.
    - Implementing the policy decisions of the Assembly.

Funding for 1988 Operations
- The Cordillera Executive Board is directed to release ₱1,125,000.00 to the Cordillera Regional Assembly to cover its operations, allocated as follows for each member: (Section 4)
    - Per diem of ₱500.00 per day for 5 days.
    - Honorarium of ₱1,000.00.
    - Actual travel expenses not exceeding ₱1,000.00.

Immediate Effect
- The Executive Order takes effect immediately. (Section 5)
