Converting the Celestino G. Tabuena Memorial National High School-Mercedes B. Peralta Senior High School Extension in Sorsogon City into Mercedes B. Peralta Senior High School

Summary of Republic Act No. 11661

Separation and Conversion of School
- The Celestino G. Tabuena Memorial National High School-Mercedes B. Peralta Senior High School Extension in Barangay Guinlajon, West District, Sorsogon City, Province of Sorsogon is separated from the Celestino G. Tabuena Memorial National High School and converted into an independent senior high school to be known as Mercedes B. Peralta Senior High School. (Section 1)

Transfer of Personnel, Assets, Liabilities, and Records
- All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the Celestino G. Tabuena Memorial National High School-Mercedes B. Peralta Senior High School Extension are transferred to and absorbed by the Mercedes B. Peralta Senior High School. (Section 2)

Funding and Operationalization
- The Secretary of Education shall immediately include the operationalization of the Mercedes B. Peralta Senior High School in the Department's program, with the initial funding charged against the current year's appropriation of the Celestino G. Tabuena Memorial National High School-Mercedes B. Peralta Senior High School Extension. (Section 3)
- Thereafter, the amount necessary for the continued operation of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 3)

Implementation Rules and Regulations
- Within sixty (60) days after the approval of this Act, the Secretary of Education shall promulgate the rules and regulations implementing the provisions of this Act. (Section 4)

Effectivity
- This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation. (Section 5)
