Functions of the Committee
- The Committee shall meet at the call of the Chairman. (Section 3)
- The Committee may create sub-committees as necessary for discharging its functions. (Section 3)
- The Committee is authorized to call upon any government department, bureau, office, agency, or instrumentality, including government-owned or controlled corporations, for assistance in discharging its duties and functions. (Section 4)

EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 408 March 20, 1973 CREATING A NATIONAL COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF THE CELEBRATION OF PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY ON JUNE 12, 1973 Pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby create a national committee to take charge of the celebration of Philippine Independence Day on June 12, 1973.
