EXECUTIVE ORDER No. 410 March 7, 2005

DECLARING AND DELINEATING THE LUBANG ISLAND PORT ZONE UNDER THE ADMINISTRATIVE JURISDICTION OF THE PHILIPPINE PORTS AUTHORITY

WHEREAS, the Port of Lubang Island, Barangay Tilik, Municipality of Lubang, Occidental Mindoro serves as the primary link of trade and commerce, and of the people of Lubang Island, comprised of the municipalities of Lubang ang Looc, to mainland Luzon, Mindoro and Palawan;

WHEREAS, the port is vital to the socio-economic development of the two island municipalities in Lubang Island in particular and of the province in general;

WHEREAS, there is a need to expand the Port of Lubang Island for planning purposes to accommodate projected increases in port traffic and to program the development of the necessary port facilities to support the demands of the shipping trade within the region.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines by virtue of the power vested in me by law, do hereby order:

Declaring and Delineating the Lubang Island Port Zone under the Administrative Jurisdiction of the Philippine Ports Authority

- Establishes the territorial jurisdiction of the Port of Lubang Island, Barangay Tilik, Municipality of Lubang, Occidental Mindoro. (Section 1)
    - Provides detailed coordinates and boundaries of the port zone, covering an area of 20,337,876.87 square meters.

- Places the Lubang Island Port Zone under the administration of the Philippine Ports Authority. (Section 2)
    - The Philippine Ports Authority shall implement a program for the proper zoning, planning, development, and utilization of the port, consistent with the regional industrial plans of the government.

- Repeals or modifies any orders, proclamations, and issuances inconsistent with this Executive Order. (Section 3)

- Declares the immediate effect of this Executive Order. (Section 4)
