EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 355 May 8, 1989

DESIGNATING THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, CULTURE AND SPORTS AS A REGULAR MEMBER OF THE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL

WHEREAS, the role of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports in value formation must be harnessed in the pursuance of the policy declared in Executive Order No. 308, S. of 1987, "Providing For The Reorganization of the Regional Development Councils";

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:

Sec. 1. Section 2, paragraph a(ii) of Executive Order No. 308, S. of 1987, is hereby amended to read as follows:

"(ii) The Regional Directors of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, and the agencies represented in the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board: Provided, That each Department of Agency shall be represented by only one Regional Director thereof; and"

Sec. 2. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.

Summary of Executive Order No. 355

Designation of Regional Director of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports as a Regular Member of the Regional Development Council

- Amends Section 2, paragraph a(ii) of Executive Order No. 308, S. of 1987, to include the Regional Directors of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports as regular members of the Regional Development Council. (Sec. 1)
