Further Amending Section 2(A-1) of Executive Order No. 308, as Amended, "Providing For the Reorganization of the Regional Development Councils"

EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 347 February 2, 1989

FURTHER AMENDING SECTION 2(a-1) OF EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 308, AS AMENDED, "PROVIDING FOR THE REORGANIZATION OF THE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCILS"

WHEREAS, to give local government units greater participation in the deliberations of the Regional Development Councils to make it more effective, there is a need to expand its membership;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:

Sec. 1. Section 2(a-i) of Executive Order No. 308, as amended, providing for the reorganization of the Regional Development Councils is hereby further amended to read as follows:

"(i) All provincial Governors and Mayors of chartered cities; Mayors of municipalities designated as Provincial Capitals of the provinces where there are no chartered cities; Presidents of the Provincial League of Mayors and Mayors of the regional center in each region;"

Sec. 2. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
