- The authorized bed capacity of the Dr. Serapio B. Montañer, Jr. Memorial Hospital in Malabang, Lanao del Sur is increased from 25 to 100 beds. (Section 1)
- Any future increase in bed capacity shall be consistent with the hospital's development plan prepared by the Department of Health (DOH). (Section 1)
Upgrading of Hospital Services and Facilities
- The existing professional health care services and facilities shall be upgraded to conform with the increased bed capacity. (Section 2)
Increase in Hospital Workforce
- The existing workforce shall be increased correspondingly. (Section 3)
- The DOH Secretary, in consultation with the Hospital Chief and coordination with the Department of Budget and Management and Civil Service Commission, shall determine the additional positions to be created and filled up. (Section 3)
Funding and Appropriations
- The Bangsamoro Government of BARMM shall provide funds for the maintenance and operating expenses of the hospital. (Section 4)
- The Bangsamoro Government of BARMM shall appropriate funds for the human resource complement to support the increased bed capacity and upgraded services. (Section 4)
- The DOH Secretary shall include support for the capital outlays of the hospital in the Department's subsidy program. (Section 4)
Separability Clause
- If any provision is declared unconstitutional, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. (Section 5)
Repealing Clause
- All laws, executive orders, issuances, rules, and regulations inconsistent with this Act are hereby modified accordingly. (Section 6)
Effectivity
- This Act shall take effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation. (Section 7)

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11870
AN ACT INCREASING THE BED CAPACITY OF THE DR. SERAPIO B. MONTAÑER, JR. MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MALABANG, PROVINCE OF LANAO DEL SUR, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The authorized bed capacity of the Dr. Serapio B. Montañer, Jr. Memorial Hospital in the Municipality of Malabang, Province of Lanao del Sur is hereby increased from twenty-five (25) to one hundred (100) beds. Any future increase in bed capacity shall be consistent with its hospital development plan which shall be prepared by the Department of Health (DOH).
SECTION 2. The existing professional health care services and facilities of the Dr. Serapio B. Montañer, Jr. Memorial Hospital are hereby upgraded to conform with and be commensurate to the increase in its authorized bed capacity as provided for in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. The existing workforce of the Dr. Serapio B. Montañer, Jr. Memorial Hospital shall be increased correspondingly. The Secretary of the DOH shall, after consultation with the Chief of Hospital of the Serapio B. Montañer,...
