Executive Order No. 470

EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 470 July 20, 1991

MODIFYING THE NOMENCLATURE AND RATES OF IMPORT DUTY OF CERTAIN IMPORTED ARTICLES UNDER SECTION 104 OF THE TARIFF AND CUSTOMS CODE OF 1978 (PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1464), AS AMENDED.

Pursuant to the powers vested in me by Section 401 of Presidential Decree No. 1464, otherwise known as the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines, as amended, I CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby oder:

Sec. 1. The articles specially listed in Annex "A" hereof as classified under Section 104 of the Tariff Customs Code of 1978, as amended shall pay the rates of import duty to be applied by stages in accordance with the schedule indicated opposite each article as listed in the aforementioned Annex "A"; Provided, That the rates of duty indicated for 1995 shall continue to be levied, imposed and collected in the succeeding years until otherwise modified.

EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 470

Modifying the Nomenclature and Rates of Import Duty of Certain Imported Articles Under Section 104 of the Tariff and Customs Code of 1978 (Presidential Decree No. 1464), as Amended.

- Specifies the rates of import duty to be applied by stages for certain articles classified under Section 104 of the Tariff and Customs Code of 1978, as amended. The rates indicated for 1995 shall continue to be levied, imposed and collected in the succeeding years until otherwise modified. (Section 1)

- The nomenclature and existing rates of import duty of imported articles under Presidential Decree No. 1464, as amended, which are not included or modified in this Executive Order, shall remain in full force and effect. (Section 2)

- This Executive Order supersedes Executive Order No. 413. (Section 3)

- This Executive Order shall take effect after thirty (30) days following its publication in two (2) national newspapers of general circulation. (Section 4)

- The Executive Order includes an Annex A, which forms an integral part of the Order, specifying the Harmonized System Codes, Descriptions, and Rates of Duty for various imported articles from 1991 to 1995.
