MODIFYING THE RATES OF IMPORT DUTY ON CERTAIN IMPORTED ARTICLES AS PROVIDED UNDER PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1464, AS AMENDED, IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT THE DECISION TAKEN BY THE ELEVENTH ASEAN ECONOMIC MINISTERS (AEM) MEETING FOR AN INITIAL TARIFF CUT OF 50% FOR PRODUCTS IN THE ASEAN INDUSTRIAL COMPLEMENTATION (AIC) PACKAGE
Pursuant to the powers vested in me by Section 402 of Presidential Decree No. 1464, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby direct and order:
Sec. 1. The articles specifically listed in Annex "A" hereof as classified under Section 104 of Presidential Decree No. 1464, shall be accorded a fifty (50%) percentum margin of tariff preference as an initial tariff cut on these articles which are included in the ASEAN Industrial Complementation (AIC) Package as decided by the Eleventh ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) Meeting. In effect, such articles shall be subject to the Preferential Tariff for ASEAN in accordance with the schedule indicated opposite each article as specified in Columns 8-11 of said Annex "A".

Tariff Reduction on ASEAN Industrial Complementation (AIC) Package
- Sec. 1: Articles listed in Annex "A" classified under Section 104 of Presidential Decree No. 1464 shall be accorded a 50% margin of tariff preference as an initial tariff cut on articles included in the ASEAN Industrial Complementation (AIC) Package as decided by the 11th ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) Meeting.
- Sec. 2: Any subsequent change in the basic Philippine rate of duty on the mentioned articles shall automatically be accorded the 50% margin of preference.
- Sec. 3: After the effective date, all the described articles entered or withdrawn from warehouse in the Philippines for consumption shall be subject to the prescribed rates of import duty, subject to qualification under the Rules of Origin as prescribed in the Agreement on ASEAN Preferential Trading Arrangements ratified on August 1, 1977.
- Sec. 4: This Order shall take effect as of January 1, 1982.
Annex "A"
- Lists 21 articles included in the first package of the ASEAN Industrial Complementation which were accorded a 50% margin of tariff preference.
- Specifies the tariff heading, product description, rate of duty effective on articles entered from 1982 to 1985, and ASEAN Preferential Tariff No. effective on articles from 1982 to 1985 for each article.
