EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 122-B March 28, 1994
PROVIDING FOR THE FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 122 DATED SEPTEMBER 13, 1993 AND EXTENDING THE PERIOD FOR THE REGISTRATION OF LOOSE FIREARMS AND UNREGISTERED FIREARMS
WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 122 dated September 13, 1993 provided for the surrender of loose and unregistered firearms within a period of three (3) months from effectivity thereof;
WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 122-A dated October 26, 1993 limited the initial coverage of Executive Order No. 122 thereby giving priority to the registration of firearms which were not re-registered under existing law;
WHEREAS, in the interest of public safety, it is imperative to make an account of, and register, all loose firearms in the country;
WHEREAS, the drive for the registration of loose firearms and unregistered firearms is providing substantial results especially among many prospective registrants in remote areas who have expressed the need for more time to register their firearms;

Extension of Period for Registration of Loose and Unregistered Firearms
- Executive Order No. 122 dated September 13, 1993 provided for the surrender of loose and unregistered firearms within 3 months from effectivity. (Sec. 1)
- Executive Order No. 122-A dated October 26, 1993 limited the initial coverage of Executive Order No. 122 to unregistered firearms only. (Sec. 1)
- The period for the surrender, registration and licensing of loose and unregistered firearms is extended until September 8, 1994. (Sec. 1)
Registration and Licensing of Loose Firearms
- Any person possessing a firearm without license as required by P.D. No. 1866 may surrender and register the same not later than September 8, 1994. (Sec. 1)
- The person who surrenders the loose firearm may apply for a license to possess the same if qualified, or transfer the firearm to any qualified individual, firm or corporation, subject to approval of the Chief, Philippine National Police, not later than September 8, 1994. (Sec. 2)
Registration of Previously Unregistered Firearms
- Any person who failed to register his firearm pursuant to Executive Order No. 122-A may still register the same within the period provided in Section 1 (i.e., not later than September 8, 1994). (Sec. 3)
Immediate Effectivity
- This Executive Order shall take effect immediately. (Sec. 4)
