Strengthening the Control and Supervision over Log Exports and Establishing an Effective Monitoring System
- Establishes a system for monitoring and controlling log exports to ensure sustainable forest management.
- Requires all log exporters to secure a Log Export Permit from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) before exporting logs.
- The Log Export Permit shall be valid for a period not exceeding one (1) year from the date of issuance.
- Log exporters must submit a monthly report to the DENR on the volume and species of logs exported, as well as the destination country.
- The DENR shall maintain a database of all Log Export Permits issued and monitor compliance with the terms and conditions of the permits.
- Violations of the provisions of this Executive Order shall be subject to penalties and sanctions under existing laws and regulations.
