SECTION 1. Scope. — Pursuant to the provisions of Sections 244 and 245 of the National Internal Revenue Code of 1997, as amended, in relation to Section 22 of Republic Act (RA) No. 9856, otherwise known as the "The Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) Act of 2009," these Regulations are hereby promulgated to amend certain provisions of Revenue Regulations (RR) No. 13-2011 dated July 25, 2011. SECTION 2. Section 3 of RR No. 13-2011 is hereby amended and renumbered as follows:
