This refers to your letter dated September 12, 2008 requesting a confirmatory ruling on the exemption enjoyed by cooperatives under the provision of R.A. No. 6938, otherwise known as the Cooperative Code of the Philippines. STaHIC
Documents submitted disclosed that Sceptre Multi-Purpose Cooperative, with Taxpayer's Identification No. 259-255-614, is a multi-purpose cooperative with principal office address at Unit H, 3/F CVA Building, National Road, Putatan, Muntinlupa City; that it is registered with the Cooperative Development Authority with CDA Registration No. H-624-6301 on September 14, 2007; that the objectives and purposes for which it was formed among others, are as follows:
