Amending the Educational Development Decree of 1972

Organizational Structure of EDPITAF
- The Secretary of Education and Culture is authorized to determine the organizational structure of EDPITAF. (Section 7(a))
- The structure should be consistent with the requirements of the projects authorized under the Decree and/or loan agreements or covenants entered into by the government. (Section 7(a))

Hiring of Consultants
- The Secretary, through the Director, has the authority to hire consultants from the private sector or other government offices, agencies, or instrumentalities. (Section 7(b))
- Consultants can be hired on a contractual, part-time, or full-time basis. (Section 7(b))
- Consultants hired from other government offices, agencies, or instrumentalities can be granted compensation in the form of allowances or honoraria, with the amount determined by the Executive Director and approved by the Secretary. (Section 7(b))

Project Involvement with Other Government Entities
- If the project involves another government office, agency, or instrumentality, appropriate working arrangements shall be established by EDPITAF and the concerned entity. (Section 7(c))
- This includes the turnover of the project upon completion to the concerned entity, to be integrated with and become part of its regular activities. (Section 7(c))

Renumbering of Sections
- Sections 7 to 19 of Presidential Decree No. 6-A, as amended, are renumbered as Sections 8 to 20, respectively. (Section 2)
