AN ACT CREATING FIVE (5) ADDITIONAL METROPOLITAN TRIAL COURT BRANCHES IN MUNTINLUPA CITY

Creation of Additional Metropolitan Trial Court Branches
- Five (5) additional Metropolitan Trial Court branches are created in Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila, under the National Capital Judicial Region. (Section 1)
- The Supreme Court shall assign the branch numbers of the newly-created Metropolitan Trial Court branches. (Section 1)

Operationalization and Funding
- The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Justice, shall immediately include the operationalization of the five (5) additional Metropolitan Trial Court branches in the Court's program. (Section 2)
- The funding for the operation of these courts shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 2)
- The funds shall be appropriated and released only upon the actual organization of the courts and the appointment of their personnel. (Section 2)

Amendment of Existing Laws
- Section 27 of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129, otherwise known as "The Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980", as amended, and all other laws, rules, and regulations inconsistent with this Act are hereby amended, repealed, or modified accordingly. (Section 3)

Effectivity
- This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its complete publication in the Official Gazette or in two (2) newspapers of general circulation. (Section 4)
