Summary of Republic Act No. 9486 (Central Cebu Protected Landscape Act of 2007)

Title and Policy Declaration (Sections 1-2)
- This Act shall be known as the "Central Cebu Protected Landscape (CCPL) Act of 2007".
- It declares the policy of protecting, conserving, maintaining, and rehabilitating the natural attributes, biodiversity, aesthetic, historical, cultural, and economic significance of the Central Cebu Protected Landscape.
- It aims to secure the protection, conservation, rehabilitation, and sustainable development of the CCPL, particularly its role as a watershed for water generation and supply.

Land Classification and Coverage (Sections 3-4)
- All lands comprising the CCPL shall fall under the classification of national park as provided in the Philippine Constitution.
- The following areas are declared as the CCPL, a permanent component of the National Integrated Protected Areas System (NIPAS):
    - Buhisan Watershed Forest Reserve
    - Mananga Watershed Forest Reserve
    - Sudlon National Park
    - Central Cebu National Park
    - Kotkot-Lusaran Watershed Forest Reserve
- The CCPL consists of Parcel "A" and Parcel "B", covering a consolidated area of 29,062 hectares, more or less.
- Specific technical descriptions and coordinates of Parcel "A" are provided in Section 4.
- The portion of Barangay Cabadiangan located within the Municipality of Compostela, not exceeding 386 hectares, shall be declared a buffer zone.
- The portion of Barangay Cabadiangan within the Municipality of Liloan, not exceeding 400 hectares and with a slope of 18° or less, shall also be declared a buffer zone. Otherwise, it shall form part of the CCPL.
