Functions and Procedures
- The committees are responsible for ascertaining the purchase price of private properties required for development and infrastructure projects in the Metropolitan Manila Area. (Section 2)
- The committees are responsible for determining the fair valuation of private properties to be purchased or acquired for public use. (Section 3)
- The procedures prescribed under Executive Order No. 132, Series of 1937, as amended by Executive Order No. 214, Series of 1939, shall be followed by the Appraisal Committees. (Section 5)

EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 329 July 11, 1988
CREATING APPRAISAL COMMITTEES IN THE METROPOLITAN MANILA AREA, DEFINING THEIR GENERAL FUNCTIONS AND PRESCRIBING THEIR PROCEDURES
WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 132, Series of 1937, as amended by Executive Order No. 214, Series of 1939, should be updated due to the integration of four cities and thirteen municipalities by P.D. No. 824, removing the component municipalities of Metropolitan Manila from the jurisdiction of the Provinces of Rizal and Bulacan;
WHEREAS, there is a need to ascertain the purchase price of private properties required for development and infrastructure projects in the Metropolitan Manila Area;
WHEREAS, it is likewise necessary to define appraisal committees for the determination of the fair valuation of private properties to be purchased or acquired for public use;
WHEREAS, it is likewise necessary to define the functions and prescribe the procedures of these committees.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby create City Appraisal Committees, and Municipal Appraisal Committees in the Metropolitan Area, composed of the following:
