Summary of Presidential Decree No. 1339Creation of Barangay Almanza Dos
- Detaches and separates the subdivisions DBP (formerly Almanza), TS Cruz, and BF Almanza from Barangay Almanza in Las Piñas, Metro Manila to form a new and independent barangay called Barangay Almanza Dos. (Section 1)
- The legal existence of the mother barangay, Barangay Almanza, remains unaffected. (Section 1)
Applicability of Laws
- Except as provided in the decree, all laws applicable to regular barangays shall also apply to Barangay Almanza Dos. (Section 2)
Transition of Officials
- The current elective barangay officials of Barangay Almanza shall continue performing their duties until the President appoints new officials for Barangay Almanza Dos. (Section 3)
- The appointed officials shall hold office until their successors are elected in the next regular barangay elections and have qualified, unless removed earlier by the President. (Section 3)
- Necessary appointive officers and employees shall be appointed as provided by existing laws to organize or complete the government personnel of Barangay Almanza Dos. (Section 3)
Transfer of Obligations, Funds, Assets, and Property
- Upon the decree's effectivity, the proportionate share of Barangay Almanza Dos in the obligations, funds, assets, and other property of Barangay Almanza shall be transferred by the President to the newly created barangay upon the recommendation of the Commission on Audit. (Section 4)
Repeal or Modification of Inconsistent Laws
- All laws, executive orders, or regulations inconsistent with this decree are hereby repealed or modified accordingly. (Section 5)
Effectivity
- This decree shall take effect immediately. (Section 6)

PRESIDENTIAL DECREE No. 1339
CREATING BARANGAY ALMANZA DOS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LAS PIÑAS, METRO MANILA
WHEREAS, the fundamental aim of the government is to develop the entire country through socio- economic upliftment of the inhabitants especially in this period of economic adjustment of our people;
WHEREAS, the primordial aim of development can be best achieved by creation of local government units which could, through faster administrative response, greatly contribute to the social, educational, cultural and economic needs of our people;
WHEREAS, in the execution of government programs geared towards the hastening up of progress throughout the land, close supervision by local officials is a necessity so as to enhance the development of the areas involved;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND, E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers in me vested by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree as part of the law of the land, the following:
