Purpose and Background:
- To create a self-reliant community and accelerate economic development.

Provisions:
- Creation of Barangay San Antonio (Section 1)
    - The following subdivisions are detached from Barangay San Dionisio in Parañaque, Metro Manila, to form the new Barangay San Antonio: San Antonio Valley 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, Barangay Village 4th Estate Subdivision, and Mon El Subdivision.
    - The legal existence of the mother barangay, Barangay San Dionisio, remains unaffected.

- Applicability of Laws (Section 2)
    - All provisions of law applicable to regular barangays shall also apply to Barangay San Antonio, except as otherwise provided.

- Barangay Officials (Section 3)
    - The current elective barangay officials of Barangay San Dionisio shall continue to perform their duties in the newly created Barangay San Antonio until new officials are appointed by the President.
    - The appointed officials shall hold office until their successors are elected in the regular barangay elections following the issuance of this Decree, unless removed earlier by the President.
    - Necessary appointive officers and employees shall be appointed as provided for under existing laws to organize or complete the government personnel of Barangay San Antonio.

- Transfer of Obligations, Funds, Assets, and Property (Section 4)
    - Upon the effectivity of this Decree, the proportionate share of Barangay San Antonio in the obligations, funds, assets, and other property of Barangay San Dionisio shall be transferred by the President to the newly created barangay upon the recommendation of the Commission on Audit.

- Repealing Clause (Section 5)
    - All laws, executive orders, or regulations inconsistent with this Decree are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

- Effectivity (Section 6)
    - This Decree shall take effect immediately.

MALACAÑANGM a n i l a PRESIDENTIAL DECREE No. 1329 CREATING BARANGAY SAN ANTONIO IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PARAÑAQUE, METRO MANILA WHEREAS, the primordial aim of the state is to create self-reliant communities to accelerate the pace of economic development throughout the country; WHEREAS, the government has engaged in intensified government projects necessitating close supervision by a well-equipped and organized administrative machineries; WHEREAS, subject locality, if created into an independent barangay will redound and contribute greatly to the political, social and economic upliftment of the residents of the locality involved. NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers in me vested by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree, as part of the law of the land, the following: Section 1.
