Declaring Friday, June 12, 1953, As A Special Public Holiday in the City of Tacloban

MALACAÑANGManila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES Proclamation No. 395 DECLARING FRIDAY, JUNE 12, 1953, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF TACLOBAN WHEREAS, the inauguration of the City of Tacloban will take place on Friday, June 12, 1953; and WHEREAS, the people of said city desire to celebrate the day with appropriate ceremonies; NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Friday, June 12, 1953, as special public holiday in the City of Tacloban. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my band and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed. Done in the City of Manila, this 11th day of June, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the seventh.
