Increasing the Bed Capacity of Northern Mindanao Medical Center
- The bed capacity of the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) in Cagayan de Oro City is increased from 600 to 1,200 beds. (Section 1)
- The health care services and facilities of NMMC shall be upgraded to conform with the increased bed capacity. (Section 1)
- Any future increase in bed capacity shall be consistent with the hospital development plan prepared by the Department of Health (DOH). (Section 1)
- The number of medical personnel, budget for personnel services, and maintenance and other operating expenses of NMMC shall be increased correspondingly. (Section 2)
- The Secretary of the DOH, in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management and the Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission, and after consultation with the Chief of NMMC, shall determine the additional plantilla positions to be created. (Section 2)
- The increase in bed capacity from 600 to 1,200 beds shall be implemented immediately upon approval of this Act. (Section 3)
- This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation. (Section 4)
