On October 21, 2016, Republic Cement & Buildings Materials, Inc. ("Republic Cement") filed a Petition for Voluntary Revocation of Registration of Securities and Certificate of Permit to Sell Securities to the Public dated October 21, 2016.2. In support of its Petition for Voluntary Revocation, Republic Cement argued that:i. There is no reason to believe that a stockholder of the company will be unduly prejudiced by the revocation of its Certificate of Permit to Offer Securities for Sale and Registration of Securities;ii. Petitioner presently has less than 200 stockholders holding at least 100 shares each and, as such, it does not meet the definition of a public company under SRC Rule 3.1.16; andiii.
