October 27, 2020POEA ADVISORY NO. 144-20ALL FILIPINO SEAFARERS FROM THE PHILIPPINE PORTS INBOUND FOR CHINA REQUIRED TO UNDERGO NUCLEIC ACID TESTING FOR COVID-19The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Philippines informs all concerned Filipino Seafarers who are entering China from Philippine ports to take nucleic acid tests for COVID-19, to be conducted by institutions designated by the Chinese Embassy, beginning 24 September 2020. HTcADCAfter taking the nucleic acid tests, the seafarers are to undergo strict quarantine measures as strongly recommended by the Chinese Embassy to ensure the safety of the concerned seafarers and to ensure a significant drop in the number of positive cases of Filipino Seafarers arriving in the ports of China.It is also advised that prior to the embarkation of the seafarers, the licensed manning agencies concerned must furnish the Embassy of China in the Philippines the results of the COVID-19 test of their respective seafarers.The full text of the Notification from the Embassy detailing the procedures for China-bound foreign passengers to obtain their Certified Health Declaration Form can be...
