Australia Closes Its Borders to Foreigners

The shutdown extends the current ban on travel from countries including Iran, China, and South Korea, to include every country in the world. From 20 March 2020, only Australian citizens, residents and immediate family members can travel to Australia. On-line applications for exemptions to travel restrictions can be accessed through Australia's Department of Home Affairs website at www.homeaffairs.gov.au.
