March 27, 2020BIR POEA ADVISORY NO. 40-20BRUNEI DARUSSALAM IMPOSES TRAVEL RESTRICTIONSThe Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has issued an advisory on the imposition by the government of Brunei Darussalam of a temporary travel ban on the entry of all foreign nationals to the Sultanate, in order to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The travel restrictions, which commenced last 24 March 2020 will include restricting foreign nationals to transit in Brunei in all entry points — airports, seaports and land borders and will be in effect until further notice.Travelers intending to enter the Sultanate or workers intending to return to the Sultanate are strongly advised to suspend and forego their travel.
