April 6, 2018DEPARTMENT ADVISORY NO. 001-18The closure of Boracay Island for a period of six (6) months commencing on April 26, 2018, as declared by the Office of the President, will necessarily compel the temporary suspension of business operations for the same period. In view of this event, this Advisory is hereby issued for all concerned that said temporary suspension of business operations should not and must not result in the termination or separation of any employee. Employers however may observe the principle of No Work No Pay, or require their employees to go on forced leave by utilizing their leave credits, if any.Employees are expected to be recalled back to work upon the lifting of the temporary closure of Boracay Island.For strict observance and compliance.
