November 12, 2018DOLE DEPARTMENT CIRCULAR NO. 003-18DOLE'S OBSERVANCE OF THE DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION AND CONTROL WEEK THRU DRUG-FREE WORKPLACESThe DOLE celebrates the "Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week" on November 11-17, 2018 to strengthen the drug abuse prevention and control program in the private sector for both local and overseas workers. Its numerous programs like the Basic Occupational Safety and Health course (BOSHC), the Pre-Departure Orientation Seminars (PDOS), Pre-Employment Orientation Seminar (PEOS) and Post Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) all incorporate a drug-free workplace policy. The celebration will include activities that are geared towards the attainment of this year's theme which is "LISTEN FIRST — Listening to children and youth is the first step to help them grow healthy and safe" through:• Putting-up of streamers/banners in strategic places in the buildings of offices;• Posting of the event and its theme in electronic billboards, if any; and• Participation of employees in the Kick-Off Ceremonies, on 12 November 2018 at the Municipal Plaza of Lukban, Quezon.
