2006EMPLOYEES' COMPENSATION BENEFITS UNDER P.D. 626, AS AMENDEDAll government and private employees, regardless of the nature of their employment (that is, whether they are casual, temporary, substitutes, contractual, permanent or regular), are covered by the program. Significantly, the covered workers do not have to contribute any amount to this program to be entitled to its multifarious benefits.What is the Employees' Compensation ProgramThe Employees' Compensation Program is the new tax-exempt compensation program for employees and their dependents created under Presidential Decree No. 626 which was signed by President Ferdinand E. Marcos on December 27, 1974 to take effect January 1, 1975.
