December 2, 2010POEA MARKET UPDATE NO. 01-11EXEMPTION OF VACATIONING OFWs FROM RE-ENTRY PERMITThe Korean Immigration Service of the Ministry of Justice through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Republic of Korea (ROK) has announced that Filipino residents of ROK with valid passports and alien registration cards, are free to enter and depart from Korea without a re-entry permit for one year within their permitted period of stay on visa. If the period of stay is less than one year, the exemption is valid for the duration of the period of stay. In case of permanent residents (F-5), their exemption will remain valid for two years after their departure date. HEITADThe exemption from securing a re-entry permit took effect on 01 December 2010.
