May 5, 2020POEA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 013-20TO : All Concerned SUBJECT : Extension of the Foreign Construction Worker Acceptance Program and Foreign Shipbuilding Worker Acceptance Program of Japan The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) of Japan has provided information on the extension of the Foreign Construction Worker Acceptance Program (FCWAP) and the Foreign Shipbuilding Worker Acceptance Program (FSWAP). Both programs will stop accepting applicants on 31 March 2021. Visas for both programs issued before the said date will only be valid until 31 March 2023.The validity of POEA Memorandum Circular Nos. 10 and 10-A, Series of 2015 is hereby extended to 31 March 2023 to reflect the abovementioned extension, while processing of documentary requirements for FCWAP and FSWAP shall only be accepted by the POLO and POEA until 31 March 2021.
