February 5, 2015GOVERNING BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 02-15WHEREAS, on the basis of the certification by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), POEA Governing Board Resolution (GBR) Nos. 2 and 6, Series of 2011, and GBR Nos. 7, 8, 9 and 11, Series of 2012, GBR Nos. 1, 3, 11 and 16 Series of 2013, were issued allowing the deployment of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to one hundred ninety two (192) countries/territories certified as compliant with the guarantees on the protection of the rights of foreign workers provided under Section 3 of Republic Act 10022.WHEREAS, in its official communication dated 11 December 2014, the DFA has further certified Nepal and Uzbekistan as compliant with the guarantees under the aforesaid law.NOW WHEREFORE, the POEA Governing Board, in a meeting duly convened, RESOLVES AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to include Nepal and Uzbekistan in the list of compliant countries where the continued deployment of OFWs shall be allowed.
