September 27, 2017GOVERNING BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 05-17WHEREAS, the POEA Governing Board issued Governing Board Resolution No. 3, Series of 2017 amending Section 108 of the Revised Rules and Regulations Governing the Recruitment and Employment of Landbased Overseas Filipino Workers of 2016;WHEREAS, the POEA Administrator in pursuance to the said Governing Board Resolution No. 3, Series of 2017 issued Memorandum Circular No. 06, Series of 2017; WHEREAS, after the issuance of the subject POEA Governing Board Resolution, several issues and concerns were raised by the stakeholders;WHEREAS, the POEA Governing Board in an executive meeting held on September 27, 2017 decided to review GBR No. 3, Series of 2017 and agreed to propose further amendments to Section 108 that are truly reflective of the intentions of stakeholders;NOW THEREFORE, the POEA Governing Board, in a meeting duly convened, RESOLVES AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to hold in abeyance the implementation of Governing Board Resolution No. 3, Series of 2017 and Memorandum Circular No. 6, Series of 2017.In the meantime, the original provision of Section 108 of the Revised...
