November 26, 2015GOVERNING BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 08-15WHEREAS, Republic Act 10022 authorizes the POEA Governing Board, after consultation with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), to impose a ban on the deployment of Filipino migrant workers in pursuit of national interest or when public welfare so requires;WHEREAS, on 26 October 2015, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has placed Bangladesh under Crisis Alert Level 1 (Precautionary Phase) due to the recent killings of two (2) foreign nationals allegedly by Islamic State militant group in the said country.WHEREAS, under Crisis Alert Level 1, no travel restrictions are imposed upon Filipino workers but they are advised to take necessary precautions during their stay in the host country. aICcHANOW, THEREFORE, the POEA Governing Board, in a meeting duly convened, RESOLVES AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to affirm the Crisis Alert Level 1 on Bangladesh for guidance and dissemination to concerned publics.For immediate compliance.Done in the City of Manila, this 26th day of November 2015.(SGD.)
