February 21, 2020GOVERNING BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 08-20WHEREAS, pursuant to DOLE Department Order No. 84, Series of 2007, a total ban on the deployment of OFWs to Lebanon was imposed on 18 June 2007 upon the recommendation of a government Task Force on Lebanon due to the volatile peace and order situation; HTcADCWHEREAS, DOLE Department Order No. 84-07 was modified by POEA Governing Board Resolution No. 06, Series of 2008, Governing Board Resolution Nos. 02 and 07, Series of 2009, and Governing Board Resolution No. 01, Series of 2010, insofar as the temporary lifting of the ban with respect to returning workers was concerned;WHEREAS, Governing Board Resolution No. 01, Series of 2011, allowed the processing of returning workers, subject to certain conditions;WHEREAS, the DFA in a communication dated 12 October 2012 transmitted the Certification of the Philippine Embassy in the Republic of Lebanon that said country partially complies with the requirements under subparagraphs (a) and (c) of Republic Act of 10022 and that the Republic of Lebanon is taking positive and concrete measures to protect the...
