December 27, 2013GOVERNING BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 16-13WHEREAS, on the basis of the certification by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), POEA Governing Board Resolution (GBR) Nos. 2 and 6, Series of 2011, and GBR Nos. 7, 8, 9 and 11, Series of 2012, GBR Nos. 1, 3 and 11 Series of 2013, were issued allowing the deployment of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to one hundred ninety (190) countries and territories certified as compliant with the guarantees on the protection of the rights of migrant workers provided under Section 3 of RA10022. WHEREAS, in its separate official communications dated 06 December 2013, the DFA has certified Aruba and Libya as compliant with the guarantees under the aforesaid law.NOW THEREFORE, the POEA Governing Board, as duly convened, RESOLVES AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to include Aruba and Libya in the list of compliant countries where the continued deployment of OFWs shall be allowed.
