February 7, 2017DOLE DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 171-17GRANTING EXEMPTION FROM THE PROVISION OF PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPEs) AND MICRO-INSURANCE AS PART OF THE PACKAGE OF ASSISTANCE UNDER TULONG PANGHANAPBUHAY SA ATING DISADVANTAGED/DISPLACED WORKERS (TUPAD) PROGRAM TO THE WORKER-BENEFICIARIES AFFECTED BY TYPHOON NINAIn the interest of the service, and with the urgent need to provide the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program or Emergency Employment Program (EEP) as post-disaster intervention to the workers affected by typhoon "Nina", the provision of personal protective equipment (PPEs), and micro-insurance as part of the package of assistance under TUPAD will no longer be required provided that work programs do not fall under hazardous work as defined in Rule 1013 of the Occupational Safety and Health Standards, series of 1989.
