November 5, 2012DOLE ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 385-12GUIDELINES ON THE SETTING-UP OF LACTATION STATIONSIn the interest of the service and pursuant to Republic Act No. 10028 or the Expanded Breastfeeding Promotion Act of 2009, Section 11, a Lactation Station is hereby established in the Department including its regional offices where nursing employees can breastfeed their children or express milk. As such, the following guidelines shall be adopted. IDSEAHI. OBJECTIVESSpecifically, this program aims to:1. Protect working women by providing safe and healthful working conditions, taking into account their maternal functions, and such facilities and opportunities that will enhance their welfare and enable them to realize their full potential in the service of the nation;2. Set up lactation stations in the workplace as well as policies regarding its use; and3. Grant break intervals of not less than forty (40) minutes for every eight (8) hours working period in addition to the regular time-off for meals to breastfeed or express milk.II. COVERAGEThis covers all lactating female employees in the DOLE Central Office including its regional offices, regardless of employment...
