Huge Demand for Pilots in Next 20 Years

Horizon International Academy (Horizon) held a major recruitment drive at the Dubai Airshow 2007 on November 11 to 15 at the Airport Expo Dubai to increase program uptake rates to meet increasing demand. Aerospace experts are predicting that the world's aviation fleet will double to more than 35,000 aircraft by 2025, with three out of five wide body aircraft delivered over the next 10 years going to the Middle East and Asia. The academy is expected to double its capital over the next five years because of the demand for pilot training, especially for those based within the UAE, in line with regional carriers' needs and according to international standards.The need for pilot training has also seen Dubai Airshow organizers, fairs and exhibitions, expand the specialized training and simulation pavilion by 50 percent.
