October 9, 2020POEA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 024-20TO : All Concerned SUBJECT : Issuance of Certification of POEA Offices to Implement the Unemployment Insurance Benefit of Qualified Overseas Filipino Workers under the Social Security Act of 2018 Pursuant to Republic Act No. 11199, otherwise known as the Social Security Act of 2018, and in line with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Department Circular No. 01, Series of 2019, the following guidelines are issued by this Administration to facilitate the implementation of unemployment insurance or involuntary separation benefit for qualified landbased and seabased overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) of the Social Security System (SSS). HTcADCI. Coverage. The Guidelines provided in this Memorandum Circular specifically covers and implements Section 14-B of the Social Security act of 2018, as follows:Sec. 14-B.
