June 14, 2017DEPARTMENT ADVISORY NO. 002-17TO:All Concerned SUBJECT:Lifting of the Temporary Moratorium in the Deployment of Workers to the State of Qatar In view of the normalization of conditions within the State of Qatar, and with the guarantee of safety for Filipinos there given by that Gulf State, this Department hereby announces the lifting of the temporary moratorium in the deployment of all workers bound for the State of Qatar. This decision was arrived at after close coordination with and advise from the Department of Foreign Affairs, as well as recommendation of our Philippine Overseas Labor Office in the State of Qatar.Henceforth, all qualified workers may be deployed to that Gulf State at any time.The lifting of the temporary moratorium is effective immediately and supersedes Advisory No. 01 Series of 2017, issued on 07 June 2017.
