January 29, 2004MANUAL ON THE DISPOSITION AND SETTLEMENT OF LABOR STANDARDS CASESFOREWORDThis Manual has been prepared by the Bureau of Working Conditions pursuant to the objectives of Department Order 57-04 to ensure effective implementation of the Labor Standards Enforcement Framework. It is hoped that this Guidelines will prove useful to officials entrusted to properly enforce them. The labor inspectorate whose duty it is to protect the rights of the workers as provided under the laws and to guide the management in complying with the law and rules, are enjoined to ensure the proper implementation of the policies, principles and directives of the government.Lastly, it should not, however, be construed that the manual in any way waives or modifies any legal provisions.
