2009POEA MARKET UPDATE NO. 14-09MILITARY CONTRACTS FOR GUAM BUILDUP PROJECTS AWARDEDThe Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Saipan has reported that as of August 2009, the following military contracts for the Guam buildup project have been awarded under Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Marianas:1. Repair and Modernize Bachelor Quarters Building 580, 581 and 584, Camp Covington (under ARRA) for US$10,502,576.00 — Awarded to Reliable Builders, Inc.2. Design Build Multiple Award Construction Contract (for new construction, renovation/modernization and routine repair maintenance of Government shore-based facilities) for US$50,000,000.00— Awarded to Ace Builders, LLC; AIC International, Inc.; BME & Sons, Inc.; Fargo Pacific, Inc.; Keum Yang Corporation; Modern International, Inc.; Overland Corporation; Reliable Builders, Inc.; Serrano Construction and Development Corporation; and Tumon Corporation.3. Construction of Combat Communications, Computer Maintenance Facility at Andersen Airforce Base for US$3,870,831.25— Awarded to Reliable Builders, Inc.4. Wastewater Collection System Upgrade (Apra Harbor) for US$13,892,789.00 TIADCc— Awarded to Core Tech International Corporation
